A Little about Me

I am someone who has spent much time at the bottom of the economic levels of the United States, below “middle class.” I have had much time to consider poor choices and pitfalls when it comes to money. Now in my mid-forties, I have learned much about the value of money and what it takes to use money wisely. I am still learning, and taking thought in the learning process has prompted me to write this blog.

I often like to dream about what I would do if I just “had more money.” I know that people never do actually know what they would do, but taking time to think about it is a fun activity. Still, the realities of life make me think seriously and not too dreamily. I find it fun to study the great things that can be done with money and the wise mending of a poor financial footing.

In these days of a tough economy, many people are finding their financial state shaky. Some are feeling the strain of finances that I have felt for years. Maybe they can look at me as an experienced fellow traveller with a few thoughts for the road.

Others have just won the lottery or have just received money from a wealthier relative. Maybe they will take a minute to think conservatively about their windfall before they throw caution to the wind and spend all the money they have just received.

Still others have lived at the bottom for years just like me and like to dream as I do. They may have some comments to add and maybe they can relate to what I am learning.

I am looking forward to learning more about using money wisely. I am going to continue dreaming as well. I also look forward to sharing as I go.
